Version 1.0 release of the peach genome

The International Peach Genome Initiative (IPGA) has released version 1.0 of the peach genome sequence.

Gramene at PAG 2010

Gramene will be present at the Plant and Animal Genome (PAG) conference in San Diego, California, from January 9-14. You can find us at one of our posters (P817, P822, P835, P843, P859), at our computer demonstration, and at a outreach consortium booth we will share with several other plant databases.

Tropical fruit tree papaya genome sequenced

The genome sequencing of Papaya variety called SunUp was reported recently by Ming et al. Nature. 2008 Apr 24;452(7190):991-6 (PMID: 18432245). SunUp was also the first commercial virus-resistant transgenic fruit tree.
