2024 Vienna International Science Conferences & Events Association Conferences on Biotic and Abiotic Stresses on Feb 5-6 and Feb 7-8

The Vienna International Science Conferences & Events Association (VISCEA) is hosting two conferences in Vienna, Austria in February of 2024, Plant Biotic Stresses & Resistance Mechanisms V (February 5-6) and Plant Abiotic Stress Tolerance VII (February 7-8).

The Plant Biotic Stresses & Resistance Mechanisms conference will focus on the biotic stress and plant diseases, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, beneficial and harmful insects, weeds, and cultivated or native plants, which cause yield losses of up to 30% in some regions of the world.

Topics include:

  • Fundamentals of Plant Biotic Stress Tolerance

  • Plant Immunity

  • Plant Immune Receptors & Signaling

  • Effectors & Elicitors in Plant Biotic Stress Tolerance

  • The Role of Hormones in Immune Signaling

  • «Omics» of Biotic Stress Tolerance

  • Genome Editing & Biotechnology of Biotic Stress

The Plant Abiotic Stress Tolerance VII Conference will focus on the negative impact of non-living factors, such as high and low temperatures, salinity, drought, flooding and heavy metal stress, which are the primary causes of crop loss worldwide.

Topics include:

  • Fundamentals of Abiotic Stress Tolerance

  • Plant Response to Cold & Heat Stresses

  • Plant Response to Drought, Salt and Osmotic Stress

  • Plant Response to Oxidative- and Flooding Stress

  • Plant Abiotic Stress Signaling

  • “OMICS” & Breeding of Abiotic Stress Tolerance

  • Genome Editing & Engineering of Abiotic Stress Tolerance
