Updated OMAP in CMap

The Gramene team is making an interim release of our comparative maps database (CMap) which restores previously available 12 "stacked" maps from the Oryza Mapping Alignment Project (OMAP). These maps order and orient the best selection of FPC contigs for each species as compared to Gramene's annotated version of the TIGR rice assembly.

National Barley Foods Forum

Public Read-only MySQL Database Server

Gramene offers a public, read-only MySQL server for many of our databases
including all of our Ensembl databases and our markers and sequence
database. You can connect to the host "gramenedb.gramene.org," with
the password "gramene," e.g.:

The 3rd International Rice Congress (IRC2010)

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam will host the 3rd International Rice Congress (IRC2010) in the year 2010. The meeting is expected to be the world's largest gathering of rice scientists, researchers, and technologies. Diversity association by trait

Gramene has made available the results of the General Linear Model (GLM) and Mixed Linear Model (MLM) association analysis performed by TASSEL. For each of the 75 traits in the Gramene diversity maize database, there is one text file containing the analysis results of allele assays vs. the given trait.  All the allele assay properties (e.g., locus) are included and and the analysis results (e.g., p value).

Pathway database curator position at Gramene

A full time 3-year pathway database curator position at the Research Associate or Postdoctoral Associate level is available immediately in Dr. Pankaj Jaiswal’s group at the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology, Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR (http://www.science.oregonstate.edu/bpp/). This position is required to develop a comprehensive catalog of rice and other cereal plant metabolic pathways and enzymes.
