Gramene Webinar November 17, 2015: Variant Effect Prediction Analysis by using the standalone perl scripts and command line protocols.

The Gramene database invites you to a FREE 30-min webinar on analyzing large amount of SNP data (>750 variants) for Variant Effect Prediction annotation by using the standalone perl script and command line protocols. In this webinar, Matthew (Matt) Geniza, a graduate student in the Jaiswal lab at Oregon State University will describe a step-by-step process for i) how to use the standalone perl script and command line protocols to analyze a large amount of SNPs, and ii) explore the functional and structural consequences of a polymorphism on a transcript (also known as variant effect prediction analysis) using the wheat NGS-sequencing data. Similar analysis can be performed in most of the 39 reference plant genomes hosted by Gramene.

We welcome specific requests or use cases from specific plant research communities (e.g., Solanaceae, Oryzae, etc.). If you would like to suggest a topic to cover in an upcoming webinar or have a special request to have this webinar translated to another language (e.g., Chinese, Hindi, or Spanish,) please send us a note to webinar@gramene.org.

Join us online on Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 at 2:00 pm EST.
