Gramene build #50: Planned updates and new data sets

Release 50 of Gramene is scheduled for March 22, 2016. Our intentions for this release are:

  • New data (in collaboration with Ensembl Genomes)
    • New genomes for:
      • Trifolium pratense
      • Brassica napus
      • Beta vulgaris
    • New variation data for rice
    • New whole genome alignments for wheat
    • New curated rice pathways
  • Updated data
    • Compara gene trees
    • Protein domain information based on latest InterProScan
    • ncRNA annotation across all plant species
    • AGI repeat annotation for 12 OGE species
    • BioMarts
  • New software developments
    • Ensembl 84 software
    • New detailed views - genetree, pathway, atlas - for search results
    • Updated gene schema for data.gramene.org web service
    • Plant Reactome analysis tools and search software
