Gramene Webinar Nov, 2016: Analysis and visualization of the plant gene Expression ATLAS data

The Gramene database is pleased to host another FREE 30-min webinar focused on "Analysis and visualization of the plant gene Expression ATLAS data using Gramene's Genome Browser and Plant Reactome." The plant gene Expression Atlas (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/gxa/plant/experiments) was developed by our collaborators at EMBL-EBI. At present it contains transcriptomics data from 674 plant experiments from several plant species including both baseline as well as differential expression data. Users can access the baseline tissue-specific expression profiles of individual genes (data is fetched remotely) from Gramene's gene pages and the Plant Reactome. Users also have the option to upload and visualize the differential expression data on the Genome Browser and on plant pathways of their favorite species.

Dr. Sushma Naithani (Department of Botany and Plant Pathology, Oregon State University), will i) review the data sets available in the plant gene Expression ATLAS, ii) demonstrate how users can access/view the baseline tissue-specific expression data in context of genes, Genome Browser and Plant Reactome pathways, and iii) demonstrate step by step how to visualize the differential expression data in Genome Browser and Plant Reactome.

If you have a specific question or a case example that you would like us to address during this exercise, please contact us at webinar@gramene.org.

Who should attend?

This webinar is open to the community of plant researchers and breeders; beginners, as well as frequent users of the Gramene database alike are welcome and encouraged to join.
