The Agricultural Genome to Phenome initiative (AG2PI) is hosting a virtual workshop on CartograPlant, “Integrating, Visualizing and Analyzing Genotype, Phenotype, and Environmental Data from Geo-Referenced Plants” on July 12th. The speakers will include Dr. Irene Cobo-Simón from the Institute of Forest Science (ICIFOR-INIA, CSIC, Spain), Gabriel Barrett, a graduate student working on the CartograPlant project, Emily Grau, Genomics Data Curator and Web Developer for TreeGenes, Risharde Ramnath, lead developer of TreeGenes, Dr. Margaret Staton from the University of Tennessee, and Dr. Jill Wegrzyn from the University of Connecticut. The workshop will focus on CartograPlant and its role in integrating diverse data to help identify genes that control traits which provide plant resilience to biotic and abiotic stresses. The integrated platform supports data collection, data submission, ontology-based metadata annotation, and analytics within a high-performance computing resource. Hands-on experience with data search, visualization, and plant population analysis will be provided. For more information and to register visit the workshop website.
