41st Rice Technical Working Group Meeting to Be Held in Galveston, Texas

The 41st Rice Technical Working Group (RTWG) Meeting will take place February 23–26, 2027, in Galveston, Texas, bringing together researchers, extension specialists, industry representatives, and other stakeholders to exchange information and advance collaboration in rice research and production. Meeting events will be held at the Galveston Island Convention Center and the San Luis Resort, Spa & Convention Center.

The RTWG meets at least biennially to facilitate the exchange of research and extension information, support cooperative planning, review ongoing programs, and identify priorities for future work. The group brings together representatives from the seven major U.S. rice-growing states—Arkansas, California, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas—as well as federal agencies, cooperating organizations, and the rice industry.

The meeting will provide opportunities to share research findings, discuss emerging challenges and opportunities, and foster collaborations across the rice community.
