What’s coming in Gramene build 66?

Gramene is due to be released in December 2022. Check out what we are up to. We expect to bring seven new genomes including two new kind of grasses (rye grass and barnyard grass), rye, pea, brown mustard, white fonio, and lemon-scented gum.

New Genomes (Assemblies and/or Annotation)

• Brassica juncea (brown mustard)

• Corymbia citriodora (lemon-scented gum)

• Digitaria exilis (white fonio, fonio millet, hungry rice)

• Echinochloa crus-galli (barnyard grass)

• Lolium perenne (rye grass)

• Pisum sativum (pea)

• Secale cereale (rye)

Other Updates and Highlights

• Orthology-based pathways for the new species in Plant Reactome

• Genome browser and underlying database schema and API updated to Ensembl 108
