Applications for travel awards for the 65th Annual Maize Genetics Meeting (MGM) are due December 15th. The conference is being held from March 16-19 in St. Louis, Missouri.
The three different grant opportunities for a travel award are:
MaGNET award - Aimed at members of underrepresented groups and their faculty mentors
Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUI) award - Targets undergraduate students
Disciplinary Breadth (DB) award - Supports researchers in plant-related disciplines
All applicants for the above travel awards must be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or employed by a U.S.-based institution.
An additional Broadening International Participation (BIP) award is available for members of underrepresented countries for digital access to recorded talks free of charge, and the application deadline is February 15th.
Applications for grants to help students defray the cost of the hotel stay during the Meeting are due by January 27th. For more information go to the MGM financial aid web page.
