Dr. Doreen Ware and Dr. Sunita Kumari to Participate in the 2026 Plant Cell Atlas Core Network Participant Meeting

Dr. Doreen Ware and Dr. Sunita Kumari will attend the 2026 Plant Cell Atlas (PCA) Core Network Participant (CNP) Meeting, taking place July 10–11, 2026, at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis, Missouri. A welcome reception will be held on July 9.

This meeting marks the final gathering of the current Plant Cell Atlas Research Coordination Network (RCN) and will bring together members of the PCA community to reflect on accomplishments and plan future directions. The meeting has three primary objectives:

• Review the progress and achievements of the PCA RCN over the past five years.

• Develop plans and priorities for the Year 6 no-cost extension of the PCA RCN.

• Discuss strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability and future growth of the Plant Cell Atlas initiative.

Drs. Ware and Kumari will contribute to discussions on advancing collaborative research, community resources, and data standards that support the Plant Cell Atlas mission and the broader plant science community.
