Gramene release 67 is out with the new Oryza ClimTools and curated gene expression data and pathways

The Gramene Knowledgebase Team is pleased to announce its Release #67, featuring data updates for CLIMtools, Expression Atlas and Plant Reactome. A new Oryza CLIMtools portal brings interactive web-based views of environment by genome associations and RiboSNitch prediction for RNA fold-altering variants in rice. In addition, expression data from 25 plant studies were curated in collaboration with Expression Atlas, and baseline expression (14 studies) are directly accessible through the Expression tab of Gramene's gene search interface. Pathway updates in Plant Reactome include two newly curated pathways and homology-based pathway projections to 10 new species for a total of 130 species.

The two newly curated abiotic stress response pathways are: Regulation of seed germination and coleoptile growth under submergence and normal gravity environment, and Regulation of lemma joints development and leaf angle by cytokinin. These are grouped in the pathway hierarchy category "Gravitropism under normal or artificial gravity environments". These pathways complement seven other groups of abiotic stress response pathways, resulting in a total of 339 reference rice pathways. The new pathways have been indexed and are searchable from Gramene's homepage, for example: Os06g0670300 (click on the Pathway tab).

No further updates in this release to the genomic data in Gramene.
