The 66th Annual Maize Genetics Meeting will be held Feb 29 - Mar 3 in Raleigh, North Carolina

The 66th Annual Maize Genetics Meeting will be held from February 29 - March 3, 2024 in Raleigh, North Carolina. The meeting includes invited talks in genetics and plant biology, oral and poster presentations and networking opportunities. The invited speakers include Natalia de León, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Terri Long, from North Carolina State University, Anna Stepanova, from North Carolina State University, and Peter Balint-Kurti, from the USDA-ARS.

CSHL Statistical Analysis of Genome Scale Data Course, June 7-21, Applications due March 1

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is hosting the course, “Statistical Analysis of Genome Scale Data,” from June 7-21, 2024. Harmen Bussemaker, from Columbia University, Sean Davis, from the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine, Hans Tomas Rube, from the University of California Merced, and Min Zhang, from the University of California, Irvine will serve as the course instructors.

CSHL Tutorials in Genomics & Bioinformatics: RNA-Seq Analysis Course, Apr 28-30

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is hosting a course, “Tutorials in Genomics & Bioinformatics: RNA-Seq Analysis,” an intensive two-day introductory course to genomics and  bioinformatics, from April 28-30, 2024. The course is broken into modules that are each designed to give a broad overview of a given topic; a brief lecture describing the theory, methods and tools is followed by a set of worked examples that students complete.

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is hosting the 37th annual Biology of Genomes meeting from May 7 to 11, 2024. The meeting will focus on DNA sequence variation and its role in molecular evolution, population genetics, complex diseases, comparative genomics, large-scale studies of gene and protein expression, and genomic approaches to ecological systems.
